Patients and caregivers have reason to cheer about new Sureprep No-Sting protective barrier wipes, which are alcohol-free for painless application, even on broken skin. The noncytotoxic water-based solution dries quickly, leaving a long-lasting waterproof coating on the skin to help prevent adhesive trauma and irritation from bodily fluids, incontinence or wound exudate.

This patented blend of polymers forms a clear, non-oily protective film when applied to a patient's skin. The polymer blend (along with an acrylic component, which helps it bind to the skin) is dispersed in a water-based solution that allows pain-free application on intact or damaged skin.

Sureprep No-Sting barrier wipes can help prevent pain and skin trauma caused by adhesives. Use the wipes to prepare and protect skin before applying tapes, adhesive dressings, or ostomy pouches. In addition, Sureprep No-Sting barrier wipes can help prevent skin damage from wound exudate and other bodily fluids or wastes. They are ideal for use on periwound skin (intact or damaged), tube or drain sites, ostomy sites, and the perineal skin of incontinent patients.
